Dr Thomas B Angel Jr

January 13, 1924 - March 12, 2012

Dr. Thomas B. Angel, Jr., 88, of Hebron, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood.

He was a veterinarian and operated Angel Animal Hospital in Florence. He served in the US Army Air Corps. during WWII where he was a fighter pilot with the Flying Tigers in China, was shot down two times and received the Purple Heart. He also was a former member of the Boone County Planning & Zoning Commission.

Survivors include three daughters, Beth Hurst of Goddard, KS, Catherine Angel of Wilmington, NC, Rebecca Angel of Mesa, AZ; eight sons, Thomas B. Angel, III of Bandera, TX, David M. Angel of Union, Mark L. Angel of Houston, TX, Randolph Angel of Port Aransas, TX, Gregory Angel of Ludlow, Jason Angel of Union, Ian Angel of Florence, Joseph S. Angel of Hebron; one brother, Dr. James Angel of Florence; twenty two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Benjamin, Sr. and Eleanor Katherine Stewart Angel.

Visitation is 11am-12:00 Noon with memorial service at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, March 17, at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 North Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Burial in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-North, Williamstown, KY.
