Martha Jane Parr

January 18, 1938 - January 26, 2012

Martha Jane Umphrey Parr of Williamstown,was born in Lexington, Kentucky on January 19, 1938 and passed away at the Grant Manor Care and Rehabilitation Center in Williamstown, Kentucky on January 26, 2012 at the age of 74. She was the daughter of the late Osby and Gladys May Goins Umphrey.

Her husband, Donnie Ray Parr preceded Martha in death in 1996. Mrs. Parr is survived by two sons: Charles Thomas Sparks and Robert Lee Sparks and three daughters: Brenda Lee Sparks, Emma Lou Sparks and Linda Sue Sparks all of Frankfort, Kentucky. She is also survived by one sister, Margaret Irence Sluder of Dry Ridge, Kentucky and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Parr was a homemaker and a member of the Faith Acres Baptist Church in Owenton, Kentucky. Funeral services will be 8:00 PM Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown with visitation at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday evening. Burial will take place at a later time.
