George Allen Patterson Jr

June 29, 1925 - January 10, 2012

George A. Patterson, Jr., passed away at his residence in Columbus, OH on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012 at the age of 86.He was preceded in death by his late wife Lorraine Patterson and son of the late George Patterson, Sr. and Jane "Jenny" Cooper Patterson.

Mr. Patterson worked as an attorney for thirty years, and retired as a labor relations attorney for Eagle-Picher Industries, in Cincinnati, OH. Mr. Patterson served his country in World War II as an Army Air Corps fighter pilot from 1944-1946, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Patrick Catholic Church of Columbus, OH, a Ky Colonel, had a passion for his family, golf, chess and was a gentleman''s farmer. He was a graduate of Notre Dame and the North Western School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate.


Mr. Patterson was survived by three sons, George Patterson, III (Anne) of Arlington, VA, Timothy Patterson of Columbus, OH, Gregory Patterson (Leigh) of Paris, KY, four daughters, Monica O''Keefe (John) of Columbus, OH, Mary Patterson of Wilder, KY, Jennie Gallastegui (Jose) of Belleaire Beach, FL, Judy Pike (John) of New Palestine, IN, sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 14, from 10:30 to 11am with a funeral mass at 11am. Both services at the All Saints Catholic Church in Walton, KY. Burial will follow at St. Patrick''s Cemetery in Verona, KY.A short lunch reception will be held in the hallat All Saints Church after the burial.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to All Saints Catholic Church, 62 Needmore St, Walton, KY 41094.
