Billy Frank Simpson was born on February 27, 1927 in Williamstown, Kentucky and passed away on January 10, 2012 in Williamstown, Kentucky at the age of 84. He was the son of the late Fred W. and Mabel See Simpson.


On Sept 15, 1949 Billy Frank was united in marriage to Ella Lawson Simpson. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Connie (Larry) O'Neill of Dry Ridge, Pat (Jerry) Lower of Dry Ridge, and Cathy (Mike) Taylor of Williamstown; two sisters: Willena Ruth Lonkard and Maxine Brown both of Williamstown; 8 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by three brothers: Buford Simpson, Donald Simpson, and Eugene Simpson; as well as two sisters: Irene Link and Lily Mae Kinmon.


Billy Frank was lifelong farmer in Williamstown and proudly served his countryin theUnited States Navy during WWII. He was a Commissioner for the Bullock Pen Water and Sewage Districts. He was a member of the Kentucky Draft Horse Association; a Former Superintendent oftheNorth American Livestock Expo, a Committeeman for SSA Farm Agency, and he helped organize the Kentucky Horsepark Draft Horse Barn & Operations. He also remained a member of the Grassy Run Baptist Church in Williamstown.


Funeral services will be Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 11:00 AM at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown. The visitation will be Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The burial will be in Williamstown Cemetery.


Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice - Grant Co. or to the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery - North Trust Fund, 205 Eibeck Lane, Williamstown, KY 41097.
