Georgia Jane Metzler Hendrix was born in Williamstown, Kentucky on January 20, 1917 and passed away at the Grant Manor Care and Rehabilitation Center in Williamstown, Kentucky on October 24, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Alfred Bryan and Minnie Ellen Menefee Metzler.


Mrs. Hendrix was united in marriage with Otis Perry Hendrix who preceded her in death on July 1, 1985. She is survived by her son: Robert Bryan Hendrix of Williamstown, two granddaughters: Sherry (Gordon) Simpson and Bobbi Jayne (Mark) Hammons; six great grandchildren: Bobby (Jona) Simpson, Brian (Kim) Simpson, Julie (Douglas) Stanley, Hollie (Chad) Breeden, Dustin (Beth) Hammons and Jason (Natalie Owings) Dunaway; thirteen great great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Two half sisters: Josephine Penick and Claris Anderson and a half brother: Cloyde Metzler preceded her in death.


A charter member of the Glenwood Baptist Church in Falmouth, Kentucky, Georgia's funeral will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Visitation will be at the funeral home also on Saturday from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Burial will be in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery in Pendleton County, Kentucky. Memorials may be made to the Mt.
