Frank D. Perkins passed away at his residence in Williamstown, KY on Sept. 11, 2011 at the age of 71. He was born to the late James Centers Perkins and Ida Mae Sneed Perkins in Lexington, KY on June 1st, 1940. He was the widower of the late Flora Sue King Perkins who died Jan. 18, 2008.
Mr. Perkins was a former machinist for Powell Valve Co. in Cincinnati, OH for over 30 yrs. He was an Army Veteran from 1962-1964, and an active member of the American Legion Post 137, Williamstown, KY.
Mr. Perkins is survived by two sons, Jeff F. Perkins of Elsmere, KY, and Tom D. Perkins of Williamstown, three sisters, Jane Crider of Verona, KY, Janette Hicks of Florence, KY, and Hazel Cooper of Crittenden, KY, two brothers, Jimmy Perkins of Erlanger, KY, and Tommy Perkins of Walton, KY, three grandchildren, and one great granchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by two brothers James and Robert Perkins, and three sisters Mildred Bustle, Shirley Clemons and Alverta Ingram.
A Military Honor Service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011 at 2pm at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-North, Williamstown.
