Gayle Vernon Dowd

March 30, 1939 - September 1, 2011

Gayle V. Dowd was born on March 30, 1939 in Berry, Kentucky to the late Orville William and Mary Lou Angel Dowd, and passed away on September 1, 2011 in Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 72.

Gayle was an over-the-road truck driver for JBG Trucking in Walton, Kentucky.

In addition to his parents, Gayle was preceded in death by his wife Linda Lou Henson Dowd; two sisters: Mildred Dunaway and Dorothy Howell; and four brothers: Jim Dowd, Eugene Dowd, Russ Dowd, and Doug Dowd.

He is survived by two daughters: Launne Yazell of Williamstown and Lisa Jean Sullinger of Florence; two sons: Michael Wayne Dowd of Walton and Gary Myers of Williamstown;4 sisters: Lena Walden of Covington, Louise Pickett of Cynthiana, Joyce Wagoner of Mt. Olivet, and Doris Wells of Erlanger; four brothers: Robert Dowd of Batavia, Oh, William Dowd of Mt. Orab, OH, Don Dowd of Newtonsville, OH, and Richard Dowd of Covington; 13 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, from Noon to 2:00 PM at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM. The burial will be in the Robinson Cemetery in Harrison Co., Kentucky.
