Kathryn Mitts Race

April 19, 1921 - July 2, 2011

Kathryn Eloise Mitts Race was born in Williamstown, Kentucky on April 19, 1921 and passed away on July 2, 2011 at the Life Care Center of Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 90. She was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Eunice Cason Dougherty Mitts.

She is survived by one son: Buford Eugene "Bud" Race of Santa Fe, TN; four daughters: Barbara Icenogle of Belgrade, MT, Beverly Wilson of Lakeside, CA and Bonnie Brady of Santa Fe, TN, Joyce Wheaton of Poway, CA; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchildand many other relatives and friends. She was the last of 8 children. Kathryn was a graduate of Morgan High School and was a member of the Highland Baptist Church in Columbia, TN.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097 with visitation at the funeral home from 5 - 8 PM on Wednesday, July 6 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Williamstown Cemetery, Williamstown, KY. Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.
