Mary Alice Harrison Hedges

Mary Alice Harrison Hedges, 99, resident of Williamstown, died Sunday, July 3, 2011 at her residence following a long illness. She was the last surviving member of a family of 13 children born to the late John Smith Harrison and Glada Pearl Rankin Harrison.

She was a homemaker and longtime member of the Mason Baptist Church where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher and church clerk.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Vernon "Weed" Hedges in 1973 and two infant children. She is survived by three daughters, Ruth Ann (Rev. Keith) Blair, Covington, Ruby Wainscott, Dry Ridge, and Marietta Hedges, Williamstown, six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 6, at Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 North Main St., Williamstown. Visitation 4-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment in Williamstown Cemetery.
