Robert "Bob" C Lawson Jr

September 6, 1925 - April 20, 2011

Robert "Bob" Coursey Lawson, Jr, 85 of Crittenden, KY died Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at his residence.

Born in Wolfe County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Robert Coursey and Lola Anderson Lawson.

He was president of the Auto Workers Union, served in the Marine Corps. during WWII and a member of the Williamstown Congregation of Jehovah''s Witnesses, Williamstown, KY.

Survivors include his wife of over forty five years, Jean Lawson of Crittenden, KY; a son, Robert "Robbie" C. Lawson, III of Williamstown, KY; two daughters, Mary Ann Lawson of Crittenden, KY, Tina Louise Furnish of Hebron, KY; one brother Douglas Arthur Lawson of Pittsburgh, PA; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 pm, Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the Williamstown Congregation of Jehovah''s Witnesses, 205 Humes Ridge Road, Williamstown, KY 41097. A priviate memorial service will be held for family and friends only at 3 pm at the Grant County Courthouse, Williamstown, KY. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-North, Williamstown, KY. Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home of Crittenden, KY handled arrangements.
