Velma Brown Collier

Velma Brown Collier, 96 of Williamstown died Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Grant Manor Care & Rehab. Center, Williamstown, KY.

She was the daughter of the late Lawrence Fonzo and Minnie Beatrice Ware Brown. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Mae (Donald) Link; a sister, Wilma Wegener andtwo brothers, Glenn and Larry Brown.

She retired in 1976 in quality control for the Levi Strauss Company and was a former floor supervisor for the McGregor-Goldsmith Company in Cincinnati, OH. She was also a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ, Williamstown, KY.

Survivors include a son, Billy R. (Jean) Collier of Dry Ridge, KY; a sister, Wanda Peter of Mason City, IA; five grandchildren and several great granchildren.

Visitation will be 11am to 2:00pm, with funeral service at 2pm, Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 North Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Burial will be in the Williamstown Cemetery.
