Robert "Bob" Moore Jr

October 21, 1931 - February 14, 2011

Robert Westley Moore, Jr. was born in Covington, Kentucky on October 21, 1931 and passed away at the Mountain Crest Rehabilitation Center in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 14, 2011 at the age of 79. He was the son of the late Robert Westley, Sr. and Maude Jenny Brooks Moore.

On January 26, 1951, Bob was united in marriage with the former Betty Jane Northcutt. In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Moore is survived by one son: Kevin Moore of Erlanger, KY and one daughter: Julie Simoldoni of Naples, FL; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. One son, Steven Wesley Moore preceded his father in death in 2007.

A member of the Erlanger Baptist Church, Mr. Moore was a high school basketball and football official for over 50 years. He officiated in the Northern Kentucky Athletic conference for more than 40 years. He was a graduate ofHolmes High School and attended Northern Kentucky Community College and worked in the Tire Industry for many years retiring from Bob Sumerel Tire Company.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton-Verona Rd., Verona, KY 41092. Visitation will be at the funeral home from Noon until 1:00 PM on Thursday. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery, Verona, KY.
