William F. "Bill" Piles, of Williamstown, KY, was born in Dunnville, KY on October 6, 1928 and passed away Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Grant Manor in Williamstown at the age of 82. He was the son of the late Fate and Lily Mae Lay Piles.
Bill was the owner of Piles Chevrolet and Buick, Inc. in Williamstown, former partner in Grant County Oil Co., former motel owner, former Williamstown City Council member, and former Director of Eagle Bank as well as board member of the National Wildlife Federation. Mr. Piles is survived by his wife of 52 years, Doris Marshall Piles; his daughters: Cindy Walter, Dry Ridge; Mindy Piles, Cincinnati; and Becky Montgomery, Davidson, NC; his stepson: Ricky Vincent, Crittenden; his grandchildren: Whitney Barr, St. Augustine, FL; Michael Walter, Lexington, KY; Ellen and Emma Montgomery, Davidson, NC; and Theodore Fate Piles Sansalone, Cincinnati.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Friends may call from 3:00 - 7:00 PM Sunday, January 23, 2011at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Williamstown Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Williamstown Christian Church, 318 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097.
