Lena Barlow

July 13, 1930 - December 30, 2010

Lena Mildred Smith Barlow resident of Clinton, Tennessee and formerly of Grant County, Kentucky was born in Kentucky on July 13, 1930 and passed away at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on December 30, 2010 at the age of 80. She was the daughter of the late Manford Smith and Della Ruth Robertson Smith Barchus of Williamstown, Kentucky.

Mrs. Barlow was preceded in death by her husband, Garry M. Barlow on January 15, 2007. In addition to her mother, Lena is survived by one daughter: Rita Jett of Powell, TN; four sons: Del Sandlin of St. Petersburg, FL, Eddie Sandlin of Dry Ridge, KY, Matthew Barlow of Clinton, TN and Leon Sandlin of Clinton, TN; two brothers: Leonard Smith of Williamstown, KY and John Barchus of Florida; two sisters: Janet Bryant of Crittenden, KY and June Campbell of Walton, KY; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and many other relatives and friends. Two children, Reba Sandlin and Kevin Sandlin and one brother, Leslie Smith also preceded Mrs. Barlow in death.

Mrs. Barlow had been an assembly line worker at Keiko in Florence, KY and Jefferson Electric in Williamstown, KY. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, January 3, 2011 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Buiral will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North.
