Anna Virginia Stewart

January 2, 1938 - January 28, 2010

Ann Virginia Agrue Stewart was born on Jan. 2, 1938 in Piner, Kentucky to the late Homer Lawrence and Virginia Roberts Agrue and passed away on Jan. 28, 2010 in Warsaw, Kentucky at the age of 72 years.

On November 13, 1954, Ann was united in marriage to John Howlett Stewart who preceded her in death on October 14, 2006. She is survived by three sons: Johnny Stewart, George Stewart, and Mark Stewart all of Warsaw; four daughters: Frances Hearn of Carrollton, Phyllis Herndon of Sparta, Lena Wilson of Warsaw, and Shirley Lafferty of Warsaw; two brothers: Floyd Agrue of Sanford, FL, and Grover Agrue of Burlington, KY; three sisters: Edith McDaniel of Georgia, Jo Ann of Worthville, and Lizzie of Covington; and 16 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Ann was also preceded in death by three brothers: Albert, James, and Clifford Agrue; two sisters: Emma Miller and Eva Whaley; and two grandchildren: Melinda McIntyre and Randy Stewart.

Ann was a homemaker and farmer and at the time of her passing she remained a member of the Sparta Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. The burial will be in the Steele Family Cemetery on the family farm in Warsaw, KY.
