Charles V Young

September 12, 1927 - January 7, 2010

SPARTA - Mr. Charles Vernon Young was born in Sparta, KY on Sept. 12, 1927 and departed this life at Gallatin Health Care on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010.

Mr. Young was a delivery driver for Standard Oil for over 22 years. He was the widower of Lucille Waldrop Young who passed away in 1990.

Mr. Young is survived by one son,Yogi Young of Sparta, KY; one step son Conrad Proctor of Carrollton, KY;onedaughter, Yonna Young of Erlanger,KY; two stepdaughtersNila Seafort of Sparta, KY and Donna Craig of Sparta, KY; six grandchildren, one great grandchild, four step-grandchildren, and six step great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Young will be Monday, Jan. 11, 2010 from 11am - 2pm at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home of Verona, KY. Funeral Services will follow at 2pm. Burial will be at the Warsaw Cemetery, in Warsaw, KY.
