Rev Kelly Kennedy

December 4, 1923 - January 5, 2010

Rev. Kelly Kennedy was born in Sunbright, Tennessee on December 4, 1923 and passed away at the St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Florence, KY on January 5, 2010 at the age of 86. He was the son of the late William Edward and Ida Rellis Riedner Kennedy.

On August 29, 1957, Bro. Kennedy was united in marriage with the former Dorothy Hill. In addition to his loving wife, Bro. Kelly is survived by his sons: Ronald Franklin Kennedy of Mt. Zion, KY and Jeff Alan Kennedy of Erlanger, KY; his daughter, Nancy Howe of Dry Ridge, KY, ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Two sons, Dwight Kennedy and Kelly Lee Cameron preceded Bro. Kennedy in death.

Kelly served in active ministry for over 60 years serving these churches as Pastor: Shiloh Baptist, Sherman Baptist, New Bethel Baptist, Grassy Run Baptist, Knoxville Baptist, Trinity Baptist, Bethany Baptist and Mt. Zion Baptist. He was Pastor Emeritus at the Knoxville Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the Knoxville Baptist Church, 110 E. Fairview Road, Dry Ridge, KY 41035in Pendleton County, KY. Visitation will be at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097 on Friday, January 8, 2010 from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY. Memorials are suggested to the Knoxville Baptist Church Building Fund.
