George "Buck" Barnett

April 26, 1941 - December 14, 2009

George William "Buck" Barnett was born in Norton, Virginia on April 26, 1941 and passed away at the Grant Manor Health & Rehabilitation Center in Williamstown, Kentucky on December 14, 2009 at the age of 68. He was the son of the late General Howard and Virtie Bolling Barnett.

Buck is survived by his longtime friend and companion: Joyce Dillow of Homosassa, Florida; his sisters: Anna Pelfrey of Dry Ridge, KY, Hazel Cammack of Dry Ridge, KY, Margaret "Cissy" Steger of Glencoe, KY and Sherry "Jody" Cook of Rutledge, TN; his brother: Larry G. Roberts of Glencoe, KY and many other relatives and friends. Two sisters, Thelma Monbarren and Virginia "Bootsy" Price and one brother, James "Coy" Barnett all preceded Buck in death.

Mr. Barnett was an Automotive Mechanic. He had worked for Grant County Road Department, Ruth Motors in Glencoe, KY, and Bob Riggs. He was a member of the Mason Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097 with visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from Noon until time of the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY. Memorials are suggested to the Grant Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center.
