John B Strunk

April 23, 1945 - November 28, 2009

John Bruce Strunk was born in Gatliff, Kentucky in Whitley County on April 23, 1945 and passed away at his residence in Walton, Kentucky on November 28, 2009 at the age of 64. He was the son of the late Andy and Susie Mowery Strunk.

Mr. Strunk was united in marriage with the former Julia Ann Johns on July 24, 1971. From this union two sons were born: Robert Strunk of Walton, KY and Jeffrey Strunk of Alexandria, KY. In addition to his loving wife and sons, John is survived by one sister: Novella Faulkner of Williamsburg, KY; five grandchildren: Nathan, Julia, Jackson, Emma and Jonathan and many other relatives and friends.

John was retired from Hopple Plastics in Florence, KY where he worked over 25 years as a maintenance supervisor. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton - Verona Rd., Verona, KY 41097. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Burial will be in the Concord Pentecostal Church Cemetery, Gallatin County, Kentucky.
