Matthew Ryan Fernandez

April 15, 1988 - November 18, 2009

Matthew Ryan Fernandez, of Owen County, KY, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 15, 1988 and passed away at the scene of an auto accident on KY Highway 330near Corinth, Kentucky on November 18, 2009 at the age of 21. He was the son of Kevin Jude and Teresa Marie Field Fernandez of Dry Ridge, Kentucky.

In addition to his parents, Matthew is sruvived by his fiance, Tiffany Smith of Owenton, KY; his daughter: Stefanie Nicole Fernandez of Owenton, KY; his brother: Joshua J. Fernandez of Dry Ridge, KY; his sisters: Ashley A. Fernandez of Dry Ridge, KY; Courney N. Fernandez of Dry Ridge, KY and Lindsey M. Fernandez of Dry Ridge, KY and many other relatives and friends.

Matthew was a shipping clerk for the L'Oreal Corporation and an Aide at the Owenton Manor, Owenton, KY. He was a PFC inthe Kentucky National Guard in Independence, KY where he was a Humvee Mechanic for the 1204th Aviation Support Battalion.

Funeral services will be11:00 AM,Monday, November 23, 2009at the Sherman Baptist Church, 3525 Dixie Highway, Dry Ridge, KY 41035. Visitation will be at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 132 S. Main St., Crittenden, KY 41030 on Sunday, November 22, 2009 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A one hour visitation will take place on Monday morning at the church from 10:00 AM until the funeral. Burial will follow in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY. Memorials are suggested to the Matthew R. Fernandez Trust Fund, c/o Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home.
