Richard Dean Simpson

January 18, 1936 - January 18, 2013

Richard Dean "Dicky" Simpson was born Jan. 18, 1936 in Williamstown, Kentucky and passed away Jan. 28, 2013 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 77. He was the son of the the late Charles Donald and Anna Eloise McNay Simpson.

Dicky was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a former construction worker. He was a member of the Grassy Run Baptist Church.

He is survived by 5 daughters: Sheila Scott of Williamstown, Carol Spaw of Erlanger, Terri Dezarn of Williamstown, Dr. Tina Simpson of Louisville, and Sonya Snow of Florence; a brother: Freddie Lee Simpson of Cynthiana; and Eleven Grandchildren and Four Great Grandchildren.

Dicky was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Layne Simpson, on Nov. 31, 1986.

Memorial services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013at the Grassy Run Baptist Church, 1555 Heekin Rd., Williamstown, KY 41097. Visitation will be 1:30 - 3:00 PM, Saturday, at the church.
