Arnold W Taylor

August 22, 1928 - December 20, 2012

Arnold William Taylor was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on August 22, 1928 and passed away at his residence in Verona on December 20, 2012 at the age of 84. He was the son of the late Asbel and Nannie Manning Taylor.

Arnold is survived by his wife, Alma Hamlin Neal Taylor, his sons: Lyle Anthony Taylor of Jamestown and Dale Arnold Taylor of Newport; his daughter: Linda Contadino of Loveland, OH; his brother: Alvie Taylor of Goshen, OH; his sisters: Verda Brown of Columbus, GA, Belva King of Verona and Lou Verna Turner of Pine Knot, his stepsons: Jimmie Neal of Pine Knot and Conley Neal of Lawrenceburg, IN; his stepdaughter: Diane Neal of Pine Knot, his brother in laws, Maynard Hamlin of Kenwood, OH and Howard Hamlin of Pine Knot, his sister in law, Myrtle Green of Dayton, OH; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

A member of the Pine Knot Church Of God, Mr. Taylor was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the N.R.A. and was an avid hunter, fisherman, trapshooter and boater. Arnold retired in 1983 from General Motors where he was an assembler.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at the Ellliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 132 S. Main St., Crittenden, KY 41030. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will be in the New Bethel Cemetery, Verona, KY. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
