William Arnold "Bill" Adams was born in Mason, Kentucky on August 4, 1922 and passed away at his residence in Edgewood, Kentucky on June 1, 2013 at the age of 90. A lifelong resident of Mason, Bill was the son of the late Lee Roy and Zadie Drake Adams.
On February 27, 1949, he was united in marriage with the former Virgie Louise Clark. In addition to his loving wife Mr. Adams is survived bytwo daughters: Elaine Adams of Berea and Pam Adams of Dry Ridge and one son: Dan Adams of Park Hills; one grandson andtwo great grandchildren. One son, Barry Lane Adams died as a child. Bill is the last of five children. Charles Adams, Leroy "Bobe" Adams, Earsel Clyde Adams and Nannie Mae Cook all preceded him in death.
A graduate of the Mason High School, Mr. Adams was a lifelong farmer and a maintenance man for the Kentucky State Police at Post #6 in Dry Ridge. He was a member of the Lystra Church of Christ in Mason and proud of his service in the United States Army during World War II.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097 with Bro. Josh Grooms officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown. Memorials are suggested to the Elsmere VFW Honor Guard.
