Marie Houston Metz, 88, of Walton, was born February 20, 1925 in London, KY, and died Friday, May 31, 2013 in Williamstown, KY. She was the daughter of the late Beelie Green and Eliza Hurley Houston.

A member of the St Mary''s Cathedral, Covington, and a retired machine operator for Equitable Bag Company, Florence, Mrs. Metz is survived by 2 daughters, Theresa (Randy) Hodge of Verona, and Kim Ling Frost of Crescent Springs; 1 son, William L.T.(Teresa) Metz of Elsmere; 4 grandchildren: Deanna Cobb, Tricia Hodge King, Billy Metz and Josh Metz; 9 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Sarah Ann Rader of Berea; 1 brother, Dallas Houston of London; and special friend, Vera Batton of Cincinnati.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, June 3, 2013 at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona, KY followed by burial in the New Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00pm Sunday, June 2, 2013, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to: American Heart Association, or the Kentucky Historical Society.
