L. Dawson "Pud" Marksberry, 76, of Fruitland Park, FL and formerly of Williamstown, KY was born May 9, 1937 in Corinth, KY and died Thursday, May 16, 2013 in Leesburg, FL.

Dawson was the son of the late Jimmy Dee and Charlotte Dungan Marksberry, a U.S. Air Force veteran, a retired long distance truck driver, and a member of the Catholic Community of St. Paul, Leesburg. FL. Dawson was united in marriage on Feb. 27, 1965 to Paula Sue Barrington Marksberry.

Dawson was preceded in death by 1 son, Thomas Dean Marksberry; 2 brothers, James Ledyard and Harry P. Marksberry; and 1 sister Mary Eloise "Sue" Fornash.

Surviving are his wife of 48 yrs, Sue; 2 sons, James L. Marksberry of Cincinnati and Ronald A. Marksberry of Dry Ridge; 1 daughter, Rita M. Howorka, of Cincinnati; 5 grandchildren; 2 brothers, John F. Marksberry of Lexington and Larry Marksberry of Alexandria; and 1 sister, Catherine Ann Czech of Tampa, FL.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00am Friday, May 24, 2013 at the St William Catholic Church, Williamstown, followed by burial at the St. John''s Cemetery, FtMitchell, KY. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm, Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, KY.
