Opal Huffman Rosenstiel

December 21, 1918 - April 29, 2013

Opal Lillian Huffman Rosenstiel, resident of Verona, Kentucky,was born in Kenton County, Kentucky on December 21, 1918 and passed away on April 29, 2013 at the St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Florence, Kentucky at the age of 94. She was the daughter of the late Homer and Haleena McClure.

She was the widow ofHarold Vincent Rosenstiel who passed away on December 6, 1990. Mrs. Rosenstiel is survived by her son, Vic (Peggy)Rosenstiel of Verona; her daughters, Charolette (Don) Kemper of Verona and Linda (Mike) Robinson of Owenton, KY; her daughter-in-law,Vicki Rosenstiel of Jonesville, KY; her brother, Marvin (Millie) Huffman of Visalia, KY; her sisters, Faye Lamb of Verona, Bobbie Dykes of Florence, KY and Mary Jo (Albert) Wood of Verona;12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Her son, Don Rosenstiel, two brothers, Carl Huffman and Ray Huffman and a sister, Betty Sue Kannady all preceded Opal in death.

A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Rosenstiel was known as the "best cook around". She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who saw the best in everyone. Opal remained a faithful member of the New Bethel Baptist Church in Verona at the time of her passing and will be greatly missed by her many friends and family.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton-Verona Rd, Verona, KY 41092. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery, Verona. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Bethel Baptist Church, P. O.
