Billy Joe Ramsey Sr

September 13, 1945 - March 24, 2013

Billy Joe Ramsey, Sr., a Demossville resident, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Florence, KY, at the age of 67.He was the husband of Barbara Lee Ramsey.

Mr. Ramsey was a retired truck driver for the U.S. Postal Service.He was a member of the Unity Baptist Church, an Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, and a Purple Heart recipient.

In addition to his wife of 45 years, Mr. Ramsey is survived by one son Billy Joe Ramsey, Jr. of Independence, KY, two daughters Carmala Ann Ramsey of Dry Ridge, KY, Rhonda Lynn Ruby of Independence, KY, three brothers, Benny Ramsey of Richmond, KY, Mike Ramsey of Union, KY, Sherman Ramsey, of Brandenburg, KY, three sisters, Bessie Hansel of Somerset, KY, Betty Fain of Independence, KY, Dessie Shelton of Crab Orchard, KY, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mr. Ramsey will be Tuesday at 11 AM at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, KY.Burial with military honors will follow at the KY Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown, KY.Memorials are suggested to the Unity Baptist Church, 1486 Jagg Rd., Demossville, KY 41033.
