Florence Muriel Maureen Florence, long time resident of Gallatin County, was born in Folsom, Kentucky in Grant County on August 2, 1917 and passed away at the Gallatin Health Care in Warsaw, Kentucky on March 5, 2013 at the age of 95. She was the daughter of the late Loyd Allen and Viola Ellen Lafferty Sipple.



Mrs. Florence was married to Wilbur Florence who preceded her in death on November 11, 1967. From this union two daughters, Belinda Kinmon of Verona and Melody Edmondson of Dry Ridge and one son, David Wilson of Ghent survive. One daughter, Maureen Beach died in 2012. Also surviving is her sister, Marian Wilhoite of Dry Ridge. A sister, Crystal Stebel and a brother, Merlin Sipple preceded their sister in death.



Mrs. Florence was a member of the former Lebanon Presbyterian Church in Crittenden. She was a homemaker and farmer and formerly worked for several area groceries including Verona Market as a clerk.



Funeral services for Mrs. Florence will be Friday, March 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton-Verona Rd., Veorna, KY 41092. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, March 7, from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery, Verona, KY. Memorials are suggested to the Gallatin Health Care, 499 Center Ave., Warsaw, KY 41095 or the American Cancer Society,297 Buttermilk Pike, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017.
