Karen Kay Brown Ventura

Karen Kay Brown Ventura of Corinth, KY was born February 28, 1953 in Cincinnati, OH and passed away Monday, October 15, 2012 in Edgewood, KY at the age of 59.

Karen was the daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude Margaret Gutwein Brown, a retired registered nurse with the St. Elizabeth Hospital, Grant County, where she was instrumental in getting the magnet program started, and a member of the Kentucky Nurses Association. Karen was united in marriage to her husband of 35 years, Neal Joseph Ventura on October 15, 1977.

In addition to her husband Neal, she is also survived by 2 daughters, Tina Margaret Ventura of Williamstown, and Jamie Marie Perkins of Corinth; 2 sons Anthony Wayne Ventura of Hebron, and Joey Ventura of Williamstown; 2 son-in-laws, Alonzo Perkins of Corinth and Jay Kerl of Williamstown; 4 grandchildren; and 1 brother Gary Brown of Ohio.

Funeral Services will be 2:00pm, Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, with burial to follow at the Williamstown Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00am - 2:00pm Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the funeral home.
