Donna Ruark Whelan

Donna Ruark Whelan, 69, of Crittenden, KY, was born July 21, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA and passed away Friday, October 12, 2012 at her residence.

Donna was the daughter of the late James Lewis and Edna Elizabeth Arend Ruark, she was a formeroperator forCincinnati Bell Telephone and a food service worker for the Grant County Board of Education, a Kentucky Colonel, and a member of the All Saints Catholic Church, Walton, KY. She was united in marriage to her husband of 42yrs. Joseph Anthony "Joe" Whelan on January 21, 1970.

In addition to her husband Joe, Donna is also survived by 2 daughters, Leslie Jenkins of Brandenburg, KY and Samantha Whelan of Derry, NH; 2 grandchildren, Joseph Jenkins of Ft. Campbell, KY and Jessica Jenkins of Bowling Green, KY; 1 brother, Jim Ruark of Crittenden, KY; and 2 sisters Gail Bowen and Joan Wagner both of Crittenden, KY.

Funeral services 2:00pm Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Crittenden, KY with burial to follow in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY. Visitation will begin at 11:00am Tuesday at the funeral home in Crittenden, KY.
