Donald H Sullivan

Donald Hugh Sullivan was born in Elliston, Kentucky on May 22, 1928 and passed away at the residence of his daughter in Dry Ridge, Kentucky on October 7, 2012 at the age of 84. He was the son of the late Charles and Zulie Connelly Sullivan.

On August 1, 1958, Donald was united in marriage with the former Mary Frances Gutman, who preceded him in death on May 26, 2008. He is survived by two daughters: Rebecca Jill Leach of Dry Ridge and Donetta Elizabeth Cross of Herndon, VA; one son, Donald Ray Sullivan of Maysville; seven grandchildren and other relatives and friends. A brother, Ray Sullivan and a sister, Elizabeth Sullivan preceded him in death.

Don was a retired truck driver for Carolina Freight, for whom he drove over 25 years. He was a member of the Crittenden Christian Church, the Crittenden Masonic Lodge and the National Rifle Association. Donald proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 132 S. Main St., Crittenden, KY 41030 with visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 - 8 PM. Burial will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge. Memorial contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society, National Rifle Association of The Autism Society.
