Myrtie Ellen Gordon

September 14, 1938 - September 23, 2012

Myrtie Popham Gordon of Lexington, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 23 at the age of 74. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Glenn Gordon.

She is survived by a daughter: Rebecca Gordon Quenzer of Duluth, GA; a brother Nelson (Sonny) Popham of Crittenden; a sister: Mary Alice (Ronald) Raisor of Florence; her mother-in-law: Anna Mary Gordon of Williamstown; two sisters-in-law: Maxine Popham of Williamstown and Dorothy Gordon Altman of Williamstown; and 2 Step-grandchildren: Ted Quenzer and Katie Quenzer.
She was a retired Loan Officer for First Security Bank, Lexington, KY.She was a member of Macedonia Christian Church in Lexington as well as a former member of Lexington Garden Club and Lexington Chamber of Commerce.She was also an avid gardener.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 27, at 11:00 AM at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wednesday at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pythian Grove Cemetery, Berry, KY.
