Lita Purvis Mohon

June 7, 1930 - September 17, 2014

Lita Cleo Purvis Mohon was born in Lexington, Kentucky on June 7, 1930 and passed away at her residence in Louisville, Kentucky on September 17, 2014 at the age of 84. She was the daughter of the late Bro. Cleo and Lily Mae Bohanon Purvis.

On February 25, 1961, Mrs. Mohon was united in marriage with William Howard Mohon. In addition to her loving husband of 53 years, Lita is survived by her son: Kevin Jenkins of Louisville; daughter: Lisa Kaelin of Shepherdsville; sisters: Olema Purvis of Louisville and Juanita Shacklett of Davis, California and three grandchildren. A son, Steve Mohon and a sister, Aurelia Purvis preceded her in death.

Mrs, Mohon was a secretary for Tube Turns Manufacturing. She was a graduate of the Williamstown High School, attended Transylvania College and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Louisville.

Memorial services for Mrs. Mohon will be 2:00 PM Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Committal services will follow in the Williamstown Cemetery.
