Kerry Reed Vest, 67, of Verona, KY died September 4, 2014.Kerry, loving husband of Nancy Jones Vest, passed away at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Hospice surrounded by his family after a long illness.He was preceded in death by his father Harold Vest.
In addition to his wife, Kerry is survived by his mother, Marie Vest of Verona, two daughters, Kimberly Vest Cheesman (Callen) of Union, KY, Karla Vest Berry (Danny) of Union, KY, four grandchildren, Ashley and Braden Cheesman, Logan and Landon Berry, one sister, Linda Vest Robinson (Tony) of Verona, as well as a nephew, niece, cousins and their families.
Kerry was a long time farmer and worked at a chemical company until his retirement in 2008.He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist church, and enjoyed the outdoors, farming, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
Visitation will be 12-3pm Monday, September 8, 2014 at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home in Verona, KY. Rev. George Naylor will conduct the funeral services at 3pm following the visitation. Burial will be at the New Bethel Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to New Bethel Baptist Church, P.O. Box 100, Verona, KY 41092 or the St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017.
