Mary Ethel Ertel

Mary Ethel Ertel was born May 7, 1926 in Williamstown, Kentucky and passed away July 21, 2014 in Florence, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late John and Emma Joe Gouge Cummins.

Mary Ethel was a retired Nurse's Aid for Wright's Nursing Home in Mason, OH and was a member of the Crittenden Baptist Church in Crittenden, KY. She was also an avid gardener.

On April 6, 1946, she was united to in marriage to Eugene Victor Ertel who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 3 brother: Harold Lee "Jack" Cummins, Edward C. "Clayton" Cummins, and John David Cummins.

Mary Ethel is survived by a daughter: Mary Ann McGownd of Cincinnati; two brothers: Herbert Cummins of Covington and Ernie Joe Cummins of Berry; and two sisters: Emma Mae Finnell of Independence and Theresa Ann Henry of Crittenden.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, July, 25, 2014 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday, July 24, 2014. Burial will be in the Crittenden Cemetery.
