Wayne "Crazy" Burden

December 20, 1954 - July 4, 2014

Wayne Burden was born in Covington, Kentucky on December 20, 1954 and passed away at his residence in Dry Ridge, Kentucky on July 4, 2014. He was the son of the late Leo Kenton Burden and Janett Crase Burden Elam of Verona, Kentucky.

In addition to his loving mother, Mr. Burden is survived by his wife, Debra Sue Covey Burden; his daughter: Gwendolyn Turner of Union; his stepdaughters: Cheryl Hostetler of Dry Ridge and Ashley Schuster of Dry Ridge; his sisters: Pamela Fay Lucas of Dry Ridge, Nancy Lopez of Walton, Deborah Ann Chamberlain of Madisonville, Lena Elam of Verona, Brenda Kay Burden of Verona and Theresa Cunningham of Covington; eight grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his father, Wayne was preceded in death by two sons: Michael Burden in 2002 and Jimmy Burden in 2012.

"Crazy", his well known nickname, was a longtime member of the Gallatin County Bass Club.

Funeral services for Mr. Burden will be 11:00 AM, Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton-Verona Rd., Verona, KY 41092 with Rev. David "Milkweed" Wotier officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Burial will be in the New Bethel Cemetery, Verona, KY.
