Garry Whiteker

July 18, 1948 - June 14, 2014

Garry Wayne Whiteker of Williamstown,was born on July 18, 1948 in Covington, Kentucky and passed away at the Select Specialty Hospital in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky on June 14, 2014 at the age of 65. He was the son of Euelta Fern Buckley Whiteker and the late Eddie Jackson Whiteker.

In addition to his loving mother, Mr. Whiteker is survived by his wife, Clara Mae Gordon Whiteker; son: Thomas Layne Whiteker of Williamstown; brothers: Jackie Whiteker of Crittenden, Keith Whiteker of Falmouth and Mike Whiteker of Owen County; sister: Karen Whiteker Collins of Dry Ridge; stepdaughter: Jaclyn Lay of Walton; stepson: Jackie Gordon of Williamstown; four grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his father, Garry is preceded in death by a sister, Leanna Brown and his twin brother, Larry.

A retired machinist, Mr. Whiteker formally worked for Johnson Pumps and Gusher Pumps. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Funeral services will be 12:30 PM Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM Thursday. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
