David Brashear

July 28, 1937 - May 8, 2014

Gerald David Brashear was born in Warsaw, Kentucky on July 28, 1937 and passed away at his residence in Warsaw on May 8, 2014 at the age of 76. He was the son of the late Robert Moore and Hazel Fern Morgan Brashear.

David is survived by his sons, Robert "Robbie" Brashear of Warsaw and Scott Patton of Florence; sister, Eva Barnett of Warsaw; former wife Kay Brashear of Warsaw; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. A daughter, Anita Brashear; a sister, Carol Ruth Thomas and a brother, Robert Brashear all preceded David in death.

A home construction worker and former grave digger, Mr. Brashear was a member of the Life Church of God of Napoleon and a veteran of the United States Army.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton-Verona Rd., Verona, KY 41092. Visitation will also be on Monday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Napoleon IOOF Cemetery, Gallatin County. Memorials are suggested to the Life Church of God.
