Nancy Lee Simpson

January 20, 1945 - April 15, 2014

Nancy L. Mitchell Simpson was born Jan. 20, 1945 in Robertson Co., Kentucky and passed away April 15, 2014 at her residence in Cynthiana, Kentucky at the age of 68. She was the daughter of the late Alton Wells Mitchell, Sr. and Enola Elizabeth Wells Mitchell.

Nancy was a member of the Indian Creek Christian Church in Cynthiana. She was a retired School Teacher with Dry Ridge Elementary School and a member of the Grant County Retired Teachers Association.

On July 8, 1987 Nancy was united in marriage to Freddie Lee Simpson. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son: Scott Simpson of Williamstown; two daughters: Kimberly Lee and Dana Sharman both of Tallahassee; a brother: Alton Mitchell, Jr. of Brooksville; a sister: Lillie Mae Carter of Mt. Olivet, KY; and 5 grandchildren.

Funeral services are 3:30 PM Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home. Visitation is 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be 12:00 noon Monday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North.
