Billy R Collier

Billy Ray Collier was born in Mason, Kentucky in Grant County on September 26, 1938 and passed away at the St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Grant County in Williamstown, Kentucky on March 11, 2014 at the age of 75. He was the son of the late Gilbert Ezra and Velma Brown Collier.

On July 6, 1963, Billy was united in marriage with Clara Jean Hall. In addition to his loving wife, Jean, Mr. Collier is survived by his son: Daryl Collier of Bardstown; stepsons: John Vincent Penick of Florence and Cliff Louis Penick of Florence; one grandson; three step grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. One sister, Dorothy Link, preceded Billy in death.

A veteran of the United States Air Force, Billy was an engineer with the American Telegraph and Telephone Company. He was a member of the Eagle Creek Country Club in Crittenden, the Dry Ridge Baptist Church, the Communications Workers of America Local #4351 and the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Friday. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North in Williamstown. Memorials are suggested to the Dry Ridge Baptist Church, 19 Broadway, Dry Ridge, KY 41035 or the St. Elizabeth Home Health Hospice.
