Ella Margaret McComas

Ella Margaret "Margie" Hensley McComas was born April 9, 1922 in English, Kentucky and passed away May 22, 2016 in Owenton, Kentucky at the age of 94. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Guila Smith Adams.

Margie, as she was known by family and friends, was a homemaker and a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Owenton.

She is survived by two sons: William A. "Tony" Hensley (Jan) of Gleason, TN and Elwood McComas, Jr. (Debbie) of Holbrook, KY; a sister: Carolyn Sue Neal of Louisville, KY; and 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Margie was preceded in death by two husbands: Otha L. Hensley in 1956 and Elwood McComas, Sr. in 2004 as well as two daughters: Lana Johnson and Verna Mink.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown with Rev. Doug Foster and Rev. Andy McComas officiating. Visitation will also be Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
