Mr. Lyle G. Rodgers, a Crittenden resident, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the St. Elizabeth Med. Center in Florence, KY at the age of 77. He was the husband of Betty Simpson Rodgers for 56 years.



Mr. Rodgers was a graduate of Grant Co. High School and then served in the U.S. Army reserves. He was a famer his entire life, and worked for 33 years as a service station attendant in Crittenden for Harp's Std. Oil Co. and Smith''s Sunoco Station. He has been a faithful member of the Crittenden Baptist Church for many years and was a former volunteer firefighter for Crittenden.



In addition to his wife Betty, Lyle is survived by his son, Brian K. Rodgers (Laura) of Crittenden, mother, Edith Harris Rodgers of Williamstown, three brothers, Dennie Rodgers (Janet) of Valrico, FL, Mike Rodgers of Crittenden, Jim Rodgers (Nancy) of Crittenden, one sister, Melody Adams (Roger) of Crittenden, one granddaughter, Brittany Rodgers and her fiancé Shane of Crittenden, and several nieces and nephews. Lyle was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence "Mutt" Rodgers and sister, Joy Belle Beach.



Visitation will be Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 10am-2pm at the Crittenden Baptist Church in Crittenden, KY. Funeral will follow at 2pm. Burial will be in the Crittenden cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Crittenden Baptist Church, Crittenden, KY.
