Rodney Sexton

June 21, 1939 - January 26, 2014

Rodney Sexton of Verona, KY was born June 21, 1939 in Montgomery Co. KY and passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood, KY at the age of 74.

He was the son of the late Couge and Lula Mae Walters Sexton, a retired welder for Clow Corp. in Richwood, KY, and a former member of the United Steel Workers Local Union. He was united in marriage to his wife Donna Wilson Sexton on June 29, 1963.

Survived is his wife Donna; 2 sons, Billy Ray and Rodney Dale Sexton, both of Verona; 1 daughter, Aleila Valerie Spur of Independence; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-granddaughters; 1 brother, Roy Sexton of Corinth; and 1 sister, Maxine Rogers of Means, KY.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the New Bethel Baptist Church, Verona, KY, followed by burial in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY. Visitation after 10:30am, Thursday at the church.
