Roy Dale Grubbs

May 12, 1933 - January 10, 2014

Roy Dale Grubbs, a Glencoe resident, was born May 12, 1933 in Elliston, Kentucky and passed away January 10, 2014 in Warsaw, Kentucky at the age of 80. He was the son of the late William Archie and Ethel Grubbs.

A retired Paint Specialist for General Motors and a farmer, Roy was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

On Sept. 26, 1952, he was united in marriage with Patricia Ann Peare. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Timothy Grubbs of Fort Mill, SC and Roy Douglas Grubbs of Dry Ridge; two daughters: Catherine Sue Covey of Dry Ridge and Jennifer Croswait of Chesapeake, VA; 20 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son: Donald Ray Grubbs in 2008 and a sister: Annie Katherine Grubbs.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Visitation will be Tuesday from Noon-2 PM at the funeral home.
