Winston Hughes Combs

Winston H. Combs of Williamstown, KY was born June 21, 1920 in Williamstown and passed away Monday, December 9, 2013 at the St Elizabeth Medical Center, Florence at the age of 93.

He was the son of the late Leslie and Betty Billiter Combs and his late step-father Louis Henry, a WWII, U.S. Army veteran, and a retired gas delivery driver for Hulett Hardware in Williamstown. Winston was united in marriage on March 21, 1940 to his late wife, Ada B. Davis Combs,besides his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by 3 children, Betty, Bobby and Bucky, and 1 grandson, Darren Snow.
Surviving is one daughter, Barbara Joyce Combs Snow of Burlington; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren;1 great-great grandchild;2 brothers, Donald Combs of Williamstown and John Combs of Walton; and a longtime companion, Virginia Gilpen of Williamstown.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, KY followed by burial in the Williamstown Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00pm Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the funeral home. www.stanleyfuneralhomes.com
