Charles Kenneth Poor

May 6, 1926 - October 14, 2014

Charles K. Poor was born May 6, 1926 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky and passed away October 14, 2014 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky at the age of 88. He was the son of the late Nellie Moore and Horace Juett Poor, Jr.

Charles was a graduate of Morgan High School and proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Navy. He was later a truck driver for Consolidated Freightlines from which he retired.

On Feb. 27, 1945, Charles was united in marriage to Margie E. Godman Poor. In addition to his wife of 69 years, Charles is survived by two sons: Gary Poor of Florence, KY and Charles Duane Poor of Bushnell, FL; a daughter: Kimetha Heckman of Spring Hill, FL; three grandchildren: Tracy, Kelsey and Zackary; and one great grandchild: Alex.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Visitation will be 1:00-4:00 PM Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014. Burial will be 11:00 AM, Monday, Oct. 20, 2014 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North.
