Sadie Evelyn Henry Lusby, resident of Grant County, Kentucky, was born January 16, 1920 in Harrison County, Kentucky and passed away at the Grant Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Williamstown, Kentucky on April 6, 2009 at the age of 89. She was the daughter of the late Lafe B. and Lenora Mae Cason Henry.


On May 16, 1946, Sadie Evelyn was united in marriage with Hubert G. Lusby. In addition to her devoted husband of 62 years, Mrs. Lusby is survived by two daughters: Lynn Pratt and Jenna Lusby, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; five grandchildren: Karis, Cason and Clint Pratt, Arian Armstrong and Andrea VonAllmen; four great grandchildren: Lenora and Henry Pratt, Hudson and Jude Armstrong and many other relatives and friends.


Mrs. Lusby was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ and was a former Sunday School teacher, church pianist, and church organist. She was a charter member and former secretary/treasurer of the Northward Christian Assembly. She was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Grant County Historical Society. She was well known as the Mason Community Correspondent for the Grant County News for more than 20 years.


Memorial services will be Friday at 6:00 P.M. April 10, 2009 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.. Burial is in the Williamstown Cemetery, Williamstown, KY. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Northward Christian Assembly, P. O. Box 128, Falmouth, KY 41040.
