Glenn David Steger, Sr. resident of Glencoe, Kentucky, was born in Covington, Kentucky on March 6, 1950 and passed away at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center, South in Edgewood, Kentucky on March 30, 2009 at the age of 59. He was the son of the late Glen C and Eunice Katherine McPherron Steger.
On January 12, 1970 he was united in marriage with the former Margaret Faye "Cissy" Roberts of Williamstown, KY. From this union two sons survive: Glenn David Steger, Jr. of Glencoe, KY and Damon Ray Steger of Owenton, KY. In addition to his loving wife and sons, David is survived by his stepmother: Hazel Decker of Shelbyville, KY; two brothers: Steve Steger of Nicholasville, KY and Johnny Treadway of Georgetown, KY; one sister: Kathy Harris of Georgia; three grandchildren and three step grandchildren.
Mr. Steger was a former longtime resident of Georgetown, KY. He was a mechanic with SWECO Industries in Florence, KY and had worked in Ground Maintenance with DHL in Covington, KY and Wilmington, OH. David was a member of the ABATE Motorcycle Club in Abate, Indiana and served his country in tours of duty during the Vietnam War as a Specialist 4th Class in the United States Army.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 2, 2009 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M. Burial will take place in the Kentucky State Veterans Cemetery, North in Williamstown, KY with Graveside Honors provided by the Robert Fulton V.F.W., Elsmere, KY.
