George W. Code, Jr. of the Zion Station, community was born Aug. 15, 1936, in Walton, Kentucky. He passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009, in Edgewood, Kentucky, at the age of 72.

George was the son of the lateGeorge Sr. and Corinne Callen Code and a retired custodianfor the Boone County Board of Education. George wasunited in marriage on March 6, 1968, to Betty Vaught Code.

George is survived by his wife, Betty; 1 son, George Callen Code of Dry Ridge, Kentucky; 2 daughters, BettyIrene Wynn of Walton, Kentucky, and Janet Faye Marksberry of Williamstown, Kentucky;7 grandchildren; 1 brother, James Arthur Rhodes of Dry Ridge, Kentucky; and 1 sister, Iva Lunsford of Florence, Kentucky.

Funeral services for George will be at 2:00pm Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona, Kentucky, with burialat the Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation will be12:00 noon to 2:00pm Tuesday, at the funeralhome.
