Lillie E "Betty" Marksberry

February 26, 1915 - March 13, 2009

Mrs. Lillie Elizabeth "Betty" Chipman Marksberry was born on February 26, 1915 in Williamstown, Kentucky in Grant County and passed away at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center, South in Edgewood, Kentucky in Kenton County at the age of 94. She was the daughter of the late William Francis "Frank" and Sylvia Mae Perry Chipman.

She is survived by one daughter: Joyce Waymeyer and her husband Richard of Florence, KY; one son: William Howard Marksberry and his wife Betty; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Her husbands: Albert G. Marksberry, Harold Edward "Billy" Nix, and Robert Gayle Marksberry all preceded her in death. A brother, Raymond Chipman also previously died.

Mrs. Marksberry was a member of the St. Paul Christian Church in Ft. Wright, KY where she had also been a member of the Ladies Guild. She was a receptionist for many years for Dr. Izquierdo until her retirement in 1979.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the St. Paul Christian Church, 429 Fort Henry Drive, Ft. Wright, KY 41011 with visitation at the church from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Tuesday. Burial will follow in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY 41035. Memorials may be made to the church.
